Bhava Raga Tala - annulé

India fascinates with its cultural diversity and its rich, fine and ancestral artistic styles. Music and dance are everywhere in everyday life - prayers, entertainment, literature, from the most sacred to the popular. From this ancient cultural heritage, classical dances are available in 8 styles. The musical scenery is marked by two main trends -- the Hindustani and Carnatic styles. The rhythmic cycles or Talas serve as a framework for dance and music compositions. For an evening, the Vidyalaya association presents a cultural and artistic trip to India with a repertoire of Bharatanatyam (classical dance of southern India) rich in Bhava and Raga and an immersion in Indian rhythms - the talas - through the tablas and mridangam.
