Biography

Born in Switzerland, he studied with Frédéric Gindraux at the HEMU in Lausanne where he was given the roles of Peter Quint (Turn of the Screw), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), la Théière (L'Enfant et les sortilèges). He perfected himself with David Jones in New York and during masterclasses with Helmut Deutsch, Luisa Castellani and Thomas Quasthoff. He sang as a soloist the great works of the sacred repertoire with in particular the Ensemble Fratres, the Sinfonietta, the Chamber Orchestra and the Vocal Ensemble of Lausanne: The Vespers of Monteverdi, the Passion according to St. John and various Cantatas of Bach, Mozart's Requiem, Rossini's La Petite Messe solennelle ... In the modern and contemporary repertoire, he creates the roles of L'Evesque and Judas in the Passion according to Marc by Michaël Levinas, he is Tristan in Le Vin herbé by Frank Martin and Le coq in Stravinsky's Renard. He sings in concert works by Klaus Huber and Lucien Guérinel in the presence of the composers. On the stage of the Lausanne Opera, he was Spirito Uno in L'Orfeo by Monteverdi, Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Serano in La donna del lago as well as Capitano in Simon Boccanegra. In recital he sang La Bonne Chanson by Fauré, An die ferne Geliebte by Beethoven, Les Illuminations and Who are these children? by Britten. He entered the Opéra Studio de l'OnR in September 2018 and sang in La Princesse arabe during the 2018-2019 season. In 2019/20, he participated in particular in the production of Parsifal and will soon be in Il trovatore.
