Still I Rise

From 10 to 25 March 2027

What if cultural spaces and the arts could help heal the world? This is the bold vision that Arsmondo embraces, fueled by the belief that creativity, when shared, becomes a powerful force to reconnect us. After five years exploring rich transnational traditions, the interdisciplinary festival led by the Opéra national du Rhin embarks on a new chapter, focusing on pressing societal questions at a time when communities are fragile and we are reimagining the bonds that hold us together.

“Still I rise,” a stirring title from poet Maya Angelou, serves as the guiding light for this inaugural edition, which delves into themes of resilience, healing, and care—words rooted not in defeat but in a rising that springs from wounds. Through concerts, exhibitions, performances, film screenings, talks, and workshops, artists and thinkers will invite us in spring 2027 to reflect on what it means to mend what’s torn—and the remarkable strength we gain when we do it side by side.

The full program for the Arsmondo Festival will be announced in February 2027.
