Dominique Eddé is a prominent Lebanese novelist (A Posthumous Letter, Why Is It So Dark?, Kite, Kamal Jann: A Novel) and essayist (The Crime of Jean Genet, Edward Said: His Thought as a Novel). In addition to writing, she has made it her life's work to help society's most vulnerable, as demonstrated by the nonprofit (Khayt Al Zaman, Thread of Time) she set up with Isabelle Helou in Ersal and Beirut that helps women refugees in Lebanon build a life in their adoptive country through the crafts of weaving and embroidery.
