It took more than 20 years for Richard Attenborough to produce this monumental biography of Mahatma Gandhi. Despite the choices that may have been considered subjective by some historians, this film remains a splendid portrait of Gandhi's political and spiritual adventure from his first struggles in South Africa defending his compatriots to his assassination on 30 January 1948. This biography goes through his remarkable choices such as civil disobedience, clashes with the British colonial power and his friendship with Jawaharlal Nehru.
