For this first dance event of the season, Bruno Bouché, director of the Ballet of the Opéra national du Rhin, invited several of his dancers to develop their own original choreographies. To the seven movements of Mozart's Serenade No. 10 "Gran Partita," performed on stage by the Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg, these young choreographers lead their colleagues and build their shared experience.
This project follows Bruno Bouché's thoughts on recreating European ballet in the 21st century. The support of dancers who wish to pursue choreographic writing, based on their own stage experience is essential to this concept. This performance both nurtures and reflects the novel collective working mode of the OnR Ballet as they portray their inner journeys to Mozart's music.
