Presentation

Founder of the magazine and publishing house Sur, author, translator, patron of the arts – Victoria Ocampo (1890-1979), driven by passion for the French language and the Eastern Hemisphere, brought the world’s best literature to Argentina. Argentina’s greatest writers received her support and, thanks to her, were translated into French. Fascinated by modern music, this visionary also encouraged European composers to work in Buenos Aires. Singer Marta Bauzà and actress Isabel Aimé Gonzalez Sola, accompanied by Manon Parmentier on the piano, bring us Ocampo’s passion in the unique setting of the Secret Place bar at the Aedaen.
