Kite-Making Workshop

In this workshop we will make kites, which are found in myriad cultures around the world, often seen carried by the wind over the shores of the Mediterranean. In Occitan, the word for kite is sèrp-volaira or sèrp-volanta, meaning “flying snake”. These flying snakes can be seen from afar as their dancing forms animate the skies. Join us to make your own Mediterranean kite and send it dancing in the sky.
