Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s life is worthy of a novel. A composer at a tender age in Vienna at the turn of the 20th century, he emigrated to the United States at the time of the Anschluss and became one of the founders of Hollywood film music before attempting a comeback in post-war Europe. This recital of his most beautiful lieder, performed by the singers and pianists of the Opéra Studio, will be interspersed with readings of letters that trace his astonishing career.
