Presentation

A beautiful, subtle, and particularly moving film about Ghassan Tuéni (1926-2012), a Lebanese minister, UN ambassador and one of the country's most important journalists of the second half of the 20th century. In the few months before his death, Tuéni looks back at landmark moments of his lifetime and his love of Lebanese culture and soil.  He talks about his first wife, poet Nadia Tuéni, and her son, politician and journalist Gébrane Tuéni. This man in whom Lebanon had placed so much hope was assassinated in December 2005, a terrible year in Lebanon's post-civil war period, when Prime Minister Rafic Hariri and journalist and historian Samir Kassir were also killed.
