Presentation

"The Workshop" is an alternative space where the identity of the CNN / Ballet of the OnR is forged for the coming years. This second edition, in partnership with POLE-SUD CDCN, will examine the place of ballet artists in the 21st century. For one week, the choreographers of the Ballet will work in the Mulhouse studios, to find new avenues for reflection on this theme. To polish off the week, a day of encounters and debate with the public will be held on 27th October in collaboration with institutions such as the Kunsthalle, the Fine Arts Museum and La Sinne Theatre. Guests will touch on a broad array of topics during lectures including: What does creating a work with ballet dancers involve? What career prospects are open to dancers once their ballet dancing days are over? And, more importantly still, what does it mean to be a ballet dancer in today's world?
