Presentation
Two groundbreaking choreographers at the forefront of contemporary dance, each blending diverse artistic disciplines, unite to present this enchanting diptych performed by the OnR Ballet. Portuguese choreographer Tânia Carvalho explores the ethereal world of sylphs—those delicate, weightless spirits deeply rooted in classical ballet tradition—crafting a dreamlike piece that defies gravity. Then Amala Dianor imagines a dystopian ritual of communion with the earth, reinterpreting Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring. By weaving together different choreographic threads, from street dance to contemporary movement, the dancers powerfully embody this sacrificial rite on our fragile planet.
