Children are invited to join the youth choir of the OnR, under the direction of Frédérique Autret, for a choral workshop of Czech music. Suitable for all levels, with or without singing experience. The children will sing Kuře (The Chicken) and Koťiátko (The Little Cat), two songs from Bohuslav Martinů's collection of nursery rhymes, Dětské písné. They were written in France in December 1929 with French texts by Ferdinand de Gramont and Léon Xanrof which were translated into Czech in the first edition. Bohuslav Martinů composed more than a hundred short songs and several song cycles.
