Biography

After her singing studies at the Academy of Music in Oslo, at the Conservatoire national supérieur de Paris and at the Royal Academy of Copenhagen, she made her debut at the Theater an der Wien as Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos), then returned to Vienna for the roles of Olympia (Les Contes d'Hoffmann), Euridice (L'Orfeo by Monteverdi), Teti (Le nozze di Teti e di Peleo by Rossini), Rosina (The Barber of Seville by Paisiello) and Agilea (Teseo by Handel), as well as for the Mozart-Da Ponte Trilogy (Susanna des Noces de Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte) conducted by Nikolaus Harnoncourt. She also sang Sophie (Le Chevalier à la rose) at the Norske Opera, Blondchen (DIe Entführung aus dem Serail) at the Frankfurt Opera, at the Glyndebourne Festival and at the BBC Proms, La Fée (Cendrillon by Massenet) at the Komische Oper Berlin , Waldvogel (Siegfried) at La Scala in Milan, Servilia (La Clémence de Titus) at the Theater an der Wien, Susanna (Les Noces de Figaro) at the Norske Opera, Mélisande (Pelléas et Mélisande) at the Opera Vlaanderen and at the Grand Théâtre of Luxembourg under the direction of Alejo Pérez. In concert she performs under the direction of Jukka-Pekka Saraste (8th by Mahler with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra), Philippe Herreweghe (La Création) with the Orchester des Champs-Élysées, Daniel Harding (Missa Solemnis), Jérémie Rhorer et le Cercle de l'Harmonie, Thomas Søndergård and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Raphaël Pichon and the Deutsche Symphonie Orchester. She frequently sang the role of Solveig in Grieg's Peer Gynt and created the namesake role in the version directed by Calixto Bieito (Waiting - Solveig (L'Attente)) at the 2019 Bergen Festival.
