Presentation

Racism and anti-racism: what can we learn from these terms and how they have changed over time? How can we envisage and build societies free of racism? How can history and literature bring to light both ethnocentrism and discrimination and paths to a future founded on justice and equality? Realistic utopia or just wishful thinking? To debate the issues we welcome Pap Ndiaye, professor of history at Sciences Po Paris and former French minister of national education and youth, and Anthony Mangeon, an expert in the study of colonial and postcolonial societies in literature, who recently published L’Afrique au futur, le renversement des mondes (Hermann).
