Mars Express

In 2200, Aline Ruby, a headstrong private investigator, and her android partner Carlos Rivera are hired by a wealthy businessman to return to Earth to capture a famous hacker. Back on Mars, a new case takes them to the bowels of Noctis, the Martian capital, on the hunt for Jun Chow, a cybernetics student who has disappeared. Noctis is their hometown, a libertarian utopia made possible by new advances in robotics, and the symbol of a future among the stars. During their investigations, they become embroiled in the city’s darkest secrets, its corrupt institutions, widespread trafficking, brain farms and general skullduggery committed by the all-powerful corporations. But augmented cyber killers also have Jun Chow in their crosshairs. Aline and Carlos are in a race against the clock to save the missing student who, unbeknownst to them, holds a secret that threatens the precarious balance of their very civilization.
