Presentation
“We met on a star”: these words open Ana Sokolović’s multilingual and intimate work. Curated by the Strasbourg-based music collective lovemusic, the program aims to promote dialog between the past and present, voice and instruments, France and Slavic countries, different languages and, above all, the works of composers with unique and contrasting styles. Through call and response, however, they come together in intense yet minimalist, introspective sounds. The common thread running through the program is the traditional Slavic song, in arrangements specially commissioned for Arsmondo from the composer Arthur Lavandier.
