Mahabharata, Pieces and Rereadings

The Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire de Strasbourg (BNU) brings to your attention its abundant holdings on Indian Epic literature and in particular on this World literature monument that is the Mahabharata. In this exhibition which is organized for Arsmondo India the BNU will introduce you to striking pieces, manuscripts or prints, in Sanskrit and Western languages. It is also an opportunity to look back on the work by these Indologists who were behind this rich collection. Also, will be highlighted the various echoes that this great ancestral poetry has left in literature, visual and performing arts and culture in its widest sense.
