Fostering reintegration


After conducting activities in the section for minors in the prison house in Elsau and greatly benefiting from this experience, the Opéra national du Rhin has set up a cooperation scheme this season with the PJJ. This structure looks after young offenders aged between 15 and 18 and daily works on their reintegration into society. Activities include basic education or job-seeking, sport and cultural activities.
Through our Opera house with all its trades and crafts, and specifically targeted activities (visits, performances and short-term internships), these young people, who are looking to reintegrate the working world, can regain contact with this sphere and build up new reference points while developing their imagination. It represents a first step towards reintegration.
