In line with its educational action and the scheme for young audiences, the Opéra national du Rhin has produced a collection of illustrated books for children over the past few years.

Aladin (Aladdin)

Aladdin knows what he wants: to play, to work as little as possible and yet become rich and marry the most beautiful girl in the whole region. An evil sorcerer, who has won over his trust, gives him a magic ring. But the sorcerer has an ulterior motive in offering his friendship. Aladin must help him to get hold of the magic lamp which is lying hidden in a cave. Whoever owns the lamp will rule over the world. When Aladin realises he has been tricked, his life is in danger. But the genies of the ring and the lamp will help him to win over the beautiful princess Badr'-al-Budur.
A work inspired by the children's opera by Nino Rota, scheduled for this season.
