Integration with senor members and taking part in activities
From the very first rehearsals, new choir members take part in a number of activities (as a preparatory choir, the pre-Maîtrise group doesn't participate in all the activities).
The children wear the Petit Chanteur uniform for all public performances.
A working integration seminar with the new choir members (children's choir, teenage choir and men's choir) takes place every year during the autumn half-term holidays (about 5 days full board).
Each Petit Chanteur is a "trainee" during his or her first year.
The new singers take part in all the rehearsals but are less involved in the concerts than the more senior choir members until their training is completed.
They don't take part in the concert tour during their first year.

Communitiy life
All these activities cannot take place without the help of parents (in various forms according to their areas of competence). It is essential that everyone should feel involved in our community life. There is a Board of Directors in charge of running the association, but it is made up of parents who cannot take charge of everything. There are also other working committees such as the Petits Chanteurs newspaper, organising weekends, preparing concert tours, the uniform committee and prospecting for concerts.
All parents can get involved according to their wishes, skills and the time they can invest.
Information and exchange meetings for all parents are held regularly (about once every six months).
However, thanks to an ambitious partnership, the association benefits from the patronage and support of the Opéra national du Rhin in terms of logistics, organisation and communication.

How much does it cost ?
The membership fee is set each year by the AGM (its stands at €120 this year)
+ the cost of the seminar at the beginning of the year (approx. €150)
+ the cost of weekends (approx. €45)
+ the purchase of the choir uniform, which is carried out at the uniform exchange mart held in October each year.

It should nonetheless be made clear that we do not want money to be a prime consideration in the selection process and, if your child loves this activity, the financial aspect must in no way be hinder his or her ambitions. A foundation called Fonds de Sol can provide parents with assistance if necessary.
