With my Cousin/Cushion at the Opera

A unique lyrical, musical and choreographic experience

What does making music together mean? Playing in an orchestra? Singing together? Dancing together? How can we distinguish between different timbres?
Children of every age go on a journey to discover song and dance. And learn that singing affects your head, your heart but also your body. They can feel the vibrations of the voice, experiment with creating sound, understand the relationship between musicians and their instruments, and work on the perception of body and gesture. All of this with various artists from the Opéra national du Rhin.
When we are young, we can also bring cushions to the Opera and sit next to artists to listen to them - and invite our friends and cousins, too. For a unique experience on stage! And for older kids, we propose exploring the career of artists to the point where they can express their art at a professional level.
A special baby workshop is being organised by the Ballet. And obviously all this takes place in a special, cosy atmosphere.

Emotions touching the stars

Renowned artists, singers, pianists and conductors tread the boards at the Opera in Strasbourg. The day after their recital, between two performances, they are invited to experience an hour of exchange with our young audience, before moving off to other great theatres. Captivating moments captured in time! It's the prime opportunity to ask them questions and of course rub shoulders with their artistic vision.

FIRST PERCEPTIONS

Babies invite their parents to amble about with dancers from the Ballet of the Opéra national du Rhin. Maxime Georges, pianist for the Ballet is also there - and as everyone loves Gustav Mahler, he will be playing a few of the composer's melodies to encourage all these little ones to join the dance. All is calm and relaxed. And the babies are delighted to get their parents out and about for a moment of sheer happiness.
