Götterdämmerung

Götterdämmerung
Opera in a prologue and three acts by Richard Wagner
Third day of the "Stage Festival", based on a libretto by the composer

New production

The last part of Richard Wagner's great work, The Twilight of the Gods concludes the immense fresco started with The Rhine Gold, where gods, Nibelung and humans confront each other. Wagner spent much of his life on this epic where the underlying currents of civilisation bubble up to the surface: love, money, alliances, natural laws and contrived laws, jealousy - and compassion, embodied by Brünnhilde, the former goddess become a woman, which redeems all.
