Encounters with Opéra Studio
As the rapport that grows between young singers and young pupils has always proved to be a great success, the Opéra national du Rhin proposes exchanges between singers from Opéra Studio and stakeholders from social, school and, of course, cultural life to broaden awareness of lyric art. This is based on more or less informal meetings, invitations to watch the shows and rehearsals and targeted activities.
"Encounters with Opéra Studio" has a priority objective: to bring areas isolated from structures producing lyric performances (i.e. Strasbourg, Colmar and Mulhouse) and lyric art. Indeed lyric art covers many domains and can be exploited in several subjects (music, plastic arts, sport, literature, languages, history and geography etc.).
For the fourth season running, the Opéra national du Rhin is meeting school groups in priority education areas. This leads to informal exchanges with classes in the form of questions and answers with the singers and educational recitals. The airs performed are presented and reproduced in the context of the works from which they are taken to show the significance of lyric song and its environment.
Since 2007, 4 actions of this type have been set up in the areas of Sundgau, Mulhouse and Huningue.
